Camden Courtney is an artist based out of Findlay, Ohio. She received her B.F.A. in Studio Art from Bowling Green State University where her studies were focused in oil painting. Camden has been influenced heavily by Edward Hopper and his use of lighting to create ambiance. During her time studying at BGSU, she discovered her attraction to light and the way it moves and peaks into spaces. Light has become a common theme seen throughout all of her most recent works. She also frequently depicts interior spaces in which she spends much of her time in, as well as spaces that have deeply impacted her life and the artist she is today.
